Having ADHD
We have been diagnosed with inattentive-type ADHD, and we are proud to have it.
This does however mean we have a hard time focusing, and tend to speak in long-and-fast tangents. Most of the time we like this about ourselves, especially when we can hyperfocus on our interests, but it isn’t exactly an asset sometimes.

Medication?
We take 5mg instant-release dexmethylphenidate, which lasts us for about 4 hours.
We have also taken a number of non-stimulant ADHD medications, none of which worked properly:
- Atomoxetine (Strattera): Helped somewhat with motivation, but didn’t help at all with focus
- Guanfacine (Intuniv): Didn’t feel anything
- Bupropion (Wellbutrin): Didn’t feel anything
- Viloxazine (Qelbree): Didn’t feel anything
